Who does ransomware target?

Anyone can be a target for a ransomware attack. Ransomware attackers do not discriminate and frequently perpetrate attacks in the public and private sectors. Individuals, small businesses, large corporations, manufacturers, hospitals, schools, government and managed service providers are all at risk.

Unfortunately we do not hear much about smaller businesses in the media. We hear about the large banks, and hospitals because those headlines are more catchy. Small businesses are often the gateway to larger companies as consultants may have access to a larger company's infrastructure.

Implementing cyber security practices, products and protocols can reduce your risk of being targeted by ransomware. Learn why you need to get cyber serious and how you can prevent a ransomware attack from happening to you.
